PASTOR

Fr. Marcoe was named pastor at St. Francis Xavier in June 2025. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and grew up nearby. His parents and much of his family live in that area. He has a younger brother and sister, and a niece and two nephews. Father Marcoe attended both Catholic and public schools as a child. After graduating, he went to Millersville University, where he studied Meteorology – yes, to be a weatherman! Immediately afterwards, Father attended St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he spent six years in formation for the priesthood. He was ordained on June 2, 2007, and has been a priest of the Diocese of Harrisburg for 18 years now. Father Marcoe enjoys reading, hiking, and even skiing. He has learned home is where the heart is, and so looks forward to investing his heart at St. Francis Xavier as our pastor and to making Gettysburg his home.

PAROCHIAL VICAR

Fr. Pray was named parochial vicar of St. Francis Xavier in June 2024. He was ordained in 2024, having attended Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. Fr. Pray is originally from Shermans Dale, PA and his family still lives in Perry County where he grew up. In his leisure time, Fr. Pray enjoys photography, baking, and football, especially watching the Penn State Nittany Lions, where he attended college. He’s passionate about education, especially Catholic Education, having been a teacher and school administrator before entering the seminary.
